Auf Kickstarter gab es heute endlich das lang ersehnte 38 Update:

Ich hatte dort nicht bestellt, habe kein Zugriff dort, daher wäre es schön, wenn jemand diese Update-Infos hier posten könnte.
Wenn nicht, dann werde ich es etwas später diese hier posten, wenn ich das Update von Lightpack per Mail erhalten habe.

Will auch nicht auf die Pixels warten, wer weiß wie lange das wieder dauern sollte, auch wenn die Versandkosten sich dadurch erhöhen.
Bin ja mal echt gespannt, sollte es tatsächlich jetzt soweit sein und das Warten bald ein Ende haben? Schauen wer mal ob bzw. wann ... .

Auf die Fragen des konkreten Liefertermins erhält man ja immer noch keine zufriedenstellende Antworten. Ich versuche mich mal von der anderen Seite mit der App-Frage heranzutasten, zumal es ja auch logische ist, wenn alles soweit wäre, wären die Apps auch da oder wo bleiben die nun?

Noch Vormittags kam die Antwort.
Keine Erwähnung von DV. Die Konfigurationssoftware ist noch nicht fertig, enttäuschend. Werde nach den Weihnachtstagen nachhaken und den Fortschritt nachfragen..
Ich frage mich gerade, welchen tatsächlichen Stand das ganze Projekt wieder einmal hat, keine näheren Angaben zum Versanddatum, Software nicht fertig.

Hier eine treffende Post auf Kickstarter von @Matt Cornely, die die Vertrauenssituation der Unterstützer wiederspiegelt.
Ein Korrektur im unteren Zitat möchte ich mir dennoch erlauben, nach meinen Infos sind die Versandinfos nicht verloren gegangen, es ging Lightpack/Woodenshark darum, das nach dieser langen Wartezeit vor einem Versand zunächst die Versandinfos zu überprüfen/aktualisieren. Ob es nur eine weitere Hinhaltetaktik ist, um weitere Verzögerungen zu rechtfertigen, werden die nächste zwei Wochen zeigen, wenn Januar wieder nichts ausgeliefert werden sollte, dann schwindet auch bei mir der letzte Tropfen an Vertrauen.
Das nach dieser ganzen langen Zeit die Apps noch nicht fertig sind, ... eigentlich unbegreiflich, werde mal nach der Begründung fragen.

Well... here it is, xmas 2018. No lightpack. Woodenshark is... no more, lightpack doesnt even update its Facebook anymore. The founders have all run from their listed locations, mostly back to Russia. No tracking numbers, no accounting, and the one backer who was emailed saying "ready to ship" they say they lost the shipping info. No app published to play or app store, most likely has never been developed. I ordered a dream screen months ago it shipped from Florida the next day and was in our hands in 3 days. It works. It has a working app. It has people wo respond to Facebook messages and emails, within hours.... not weeks or never. Please lightpack... give up and admit you have failed. Stop lying.

Eine Trackingnummer habe ich nicht erhalten, daher gehe ich erst einmal davon aus, dass ich nicht mit dabei sein werde.
Zum anderen bieten sie in der Mail eine Kommunikation über "via Facebook messenger" an, jedoch erfordert der Link ein "Facebook"-Konto welches ich mir aber nie asnlegen werde.

Hab gleich nach DV und der Apple-App gefragt, weil noch keine im Apple-Store erhältlich ist.

Nachfragen:
1. Haben weiterhin(2 Wochen) auf Lightpack.tv falsche, irreführende UHD-Systeminformationen bei z.B. "Lightpack UHD Mini Set" angegeben mit "HDMI 1.4b, HDCP 1.4"
2. Falls keine ausreichende Antwort erhalte nachfragen: Fortschritt in Prozent jeweils bei Android und bei Apple

DV-Unterstützung ist für mich sehr sehr wichtig, da mein Oppo UHD-BDs mit erzwungenem DV abspielen kann, also schon mal gut, dass das Feature nochmal bestätigt worden ist!

Auslieferung:
Langsam tut sich bei der Auslieferung etwas, die ersten Unboxing-Bilder können auf instagram angeschaut werden. Es sollen in Kürze auch erste User-Videos auf youtube folgen, aber halt fraglich, ob überhaupt jetzt schon eine Konfiguration möglich ist, da die Apps noch fehlen, die aber auch in Kürze veröffentlicht werden sollen.

Ich konnte jedoch bislang keine App im Store finden, wobei @Jose Velarde gestern bei ihm auf youtube bezüglich der App nachgefragt hatte. Seitdem sind zu der App dort bislang keine weiteren Infos nachzulesen

Meine Anmerkung zum Video: Hoffentlich gibts eine besser Möglichkeit die Strips anzuschliessen, da links unten bzw. umgedreht rechts unten, wo die Anschlüsse sind, wirds nicht gleichmäßig leuchten, da dort paar LEDs fehlen werden. Ich zumindest würde die Anschlüsse nicht so anbingen.

Ein neues frisches jedoch wenig aussagekräftiges Video. Hier würde ich eher sagen, hauptsache eine neue Meldungen, dass wieder jemand sein Lightpack 2 erhalten hat.

The first Lightpacks have reached you! Here’s our video to help you with the installation.
We’d also like to address a few practical questions.

KNOWN ISSUES
Some of you asked us about Lightpack support for the HDR technology. Since there are several providers of the standard, Lightpacks’ support for all of them is not available yet, but we’re getting there and planning to fix it in our next OTA update some time in April.

MOBILE APP
All Android users, we have the app ready for you. It is still being tested, therefore, it’s not public on Google Play yet. If you want to try it, download it here. Please give us feedback so we can update more.
The IOS app is pending Apple approval. If you wish to get the early beta version, let us know.

PIXELS
The factory that will produce our Pixels is making a batch of samples. Once ready, they’ll be tested thoroughly and only then set to be manufactured. We’ll keep you posted on that.

CHINESE NEW YEAR
Our factory workers as well as the whole of China are celebrating the New Year holidays with their families this and the next week. We’re sending them our best wishes and pausing the production and shipment of Lightpacks for this holiday period.

CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
This does not impact our American customers, but our customers in other countries may experience delays due to customs clearance. The time varies depending on the country and your local customs regulations. Some countries may require you to pay local customs fees.

We’ll ship out the rest of the batch that we’ve gotten ready, and continue with producing and shipping Lightpacks to you after February 15th.

Our work will not stop though. We are working hard on software updates, finishing up mobile applications, and setting up the shipment schedule for the future.

Hier funktionieren die "Black Bars" noch nicht besonders gut, ja fast miserabel, insbesonders bei dunkleren Bildinhalten, insbesonders zu sehen bei/vor ca. 1 min(45s-60s).
Für mich gesprochen fehlt mir hier in den 15s fast die komplette Ansteuerung der oberen sowie unteren LEDs, wobei es der User, der es auf youtube hochgeladen hatte, die dort angemerkte Kritik nicht nachvollziehen kann!?

Ich kriege auf meine 14-tätig wiederholenden Anfragen(letzte am 10.02.2019) direkt an Lighpack gestellt, keine konkreten Antworten zum Liefertermin, immer nur wischiwaschi-0815-Antworten.

Laut kickstarter-Kommentare scheint in Deutschland eines der ersten Lightpacks eingetroffen zu sein.
Habe heute wieder mal im 14-Tage-Rhythmus nachgefragt, bislang noch keine Antwort erhalten.

Hat ein bischen gedauert, da die erste Antwort eher so klang, dass ich nicht mehr nachfragen und abwarten solle ...

So, habe nun die zweite Antwort erhalten:

Lightpack haben mir ja mehrfach versichert, das DV unterstützt wird und gut funktionieren würde, jetzt gibts einen Erfahrungsbericht dazu, das dem wohl nicht so ist:

Got my Lightpack in and at least the video displays. HDR10 seems to work. As expected, Dolby Vision does not.

Da gibt es wohl unterschiede zwischen DV und LLDV, welches wohl das "Apple TV 4k" unterstützt. Habe daher gerade bei denen detaillierter nachgefragt, ob sie evtl. nur von LLDV des "Apple TV 4k" oder auch über UHD BDs mit DV sprechen und warte auf eine Antwort!?

Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob ich lachen oder weinen soll, wohl eher zweiteres!?
Seit fast einem Jahr erzählt mir der Lighpack-Support nach mehrfacher Nachfage, ich müsse mir keine Sorgen um die DV-Unterstützung machen. Da es kürzlich auf reddit moniert worden ist und jetzt meiner Nachfrage, ob der Support DV auch mal selbst ausprobiert hätte, kommt die Katze plötzlich aus dem Sack. Bin erst jetzt richtig stutzig geworden, weil HDFury Diva kein DV von z.B. UHD-BDs unterstützen wird, da es derzeit keinen DV-RGB Converter dafür gibt. Jedoch wird Diva wohl "LLDV" vom Apple TV 4k unterstützen. Fragt mich bitte jetzt nicht worin der Unterschied dieser beiden DV-Varianten liegt!?

Hier die Kurzform: At the moment, the Dolby Vision is not supported!!! - DV ist ab heute kein zugesagtes Feature mehr vom Lightpack-Support!!!

Hier ein aktuelleres YouTube-Video vom ca. 22.03.2019:

HDR scheint immer noch nicht gescheit zu funtionieren, was haben die Entwickler denn all die letzten Jahre gemacht, den Prototyp sowie die HDR-Norm gibts doch bereits schon seit Jahren!? Der Support hatte immer gesagt, alles würde super funktionieren, müsse mir keine Sorgen machen!
Auch kriegen sie seit über 3 Monaten, trotz meiner Hinweise im letzen Jahr sowie diesen Jahres, nicht Ihre Homepage in Griff. Bei den UHD-Sets steht immer noch HDMI 1.4b und HDCP 1.4. Den Lightpack-Verantwortlichen scheint in der Tat nichts peinlich zu sein, hier müsste doch nur ein bisschen Text bezüglich der Gerätespezifikation korrigiert werden!

Mag sein, das ich meinen ganzen angestauten Brass auf die wegen der DV-Verarsche los lasse, wie ich finde zurecht, wenn der Lightpack-Support monatelang so viel ungefilterten Mist erzählt, dann darf das auch entsprechend kommentiert werden!

Ist ja nun April 2019 geworden, viele bzw. die überwiegende Mehrzahl haben ihr, zumeist mehrere Jahre vorfinanziertes, Lightpack noch nicht erhalten, wie schaut’s mit dem weiteren Verlauf aus? Ein März-Update hatte man sich wieder mal aus für mich unerklärlichen Grund gespart, daher die penetranten Nachfragen von mir beim Lighpack-Support.
Nachgefragt hatte ich zudem die Stände zu HDR und Apple-App, zum Stand HDR gab es leider keine Antwort.

Ich gehe mal davon aus, wenn die Produktion der zweiten Batch noch zwei Wochen dauern wird, rechnen wir noch einen Puffer von einer Woche hinzu, dann werden diese vermutlich frühestens Anfang eher Mitte Mai ausgeliefert werden können, da sie u.a. diese Batch erst mal paar Tage kontrollieren müssen.
Dieser erste Batch wurde von ca. Ende Dezember 2018 bis ca. März 2019 versendet. Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob sie jedes einzelne vor der Auslieferung kontrolliert/getestet hatten, aber mit ca. drei Monaten ist schon eine recht hohe zeitliche Marke gesetzt worden. Wenn dieses bei der zweiten Batch ebenso verlaufen sollte, dann könnte es spekulativ bis spätestens August 2019 dauern, bis diese zweite Batch komplett ausgeliefert wäre!?
Also werden sich vermutlich viele nochmal auf Ihr Lightpack paar Monate gedulden müssen, wobei ich zu Beginn auch nicht unbedingt gerne Betatester spielen will.

I'm sure this has been brought up but does this pass-though HDR10 & Dolby Vision?

Mal schauen wie die Antwort ausfallen wird, ob bei Dolby Vision passthrough möglich ist oder nicht!?

Dear XXX, Thank you for your question! You are absolutely right, the Lightpack's behavior will be adjustable in this case. If you don't switch the Dolby Vision off, then there will be no synchronizing of the LED with the image on the screen. So, the LED will be on, but in one color only. However, with the Dolby Vision mode turning off, the lights will be synchronized with the image just perfectly. I hope my answer was useful. Aha, interessant, wusste gar nicht, dass die zwei Kampagnen gestartet hatten:
- indiegogo: Closed - "$567.056 USD by 2.208 backers"

- kickstarter: "2.051 Unterstützer trugen 508.525 $ bei, um dieses Projekt zu verwirklichen."

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, dann müssen zusätzlich zu kickstarter(2.051) noch 157 backers auf der indiegogo-Plattform mit versorgt werden!?
Wobei ich ja direkt auf "lightpack.tv" bestellt hatte, hmm keine Ahnung, ob ich überhaupt in dieser Statistik erfasst bin und andere evtl. ebenso nicht!?

Meine aktuelle Schätzung: offen zur Auslieferung sind noch ca. 1500 Lightpacks, nach aktuellem Stand werden bei 500 Lightpacks pro batch, noch 3 batches x 2 Monate = mindestens 6 Monate benötigt, bis der Letzte sein Lightpack erhalten hat. Vermutlich eher länger.
Insgesamt sind die 500 der second batch ja eh fast ein Tropfen auf den heißen Stein. Bei der Geschwindigkeit werden die es bis zum Jahresende nicht schaffen, an alle auszuliefern.
Oh man ...

Nun hier meine letzte Nachfrage zum letzten Update 41 auf kickstarter:
Ich bin wohl bei diesem batch 2 dabei, aber nicht bei den ersten 500.
Der Stand der Pixels ist weiterhin unklar, verstehe nach so viel verstrichener Projekt-Zeit nicht solche schwammigen Mitteilungen. Da ich Pixels mitbestellt hatte, wäre ein späterer zusätzlicher Versand notwendig, weiß nicht welche Rolle dieses bei den Pioritäten spielt.

Those 500 Lightpacks we received recently are just a part of the whole large batch, and they will go to our backers since we promised to deliver the Lightpacks to our backers first. However, it can't go at full speed yet because we are currently busy with the Lightpacks' preparation for shipment. Am 20.06. hatte ich bei Lighpack-Support nach einem Update gefragt, zudem warum monatliche Updates so schwer sind, zumal das letzte Update vom Mai war und wie der Stand bei den Pixels ist.

Die Sendung wird dem für den Empfänger zuständigen Zollamt übergeben. Der Empfänger kann die Sendung, nach Erhalt des Benachrichtigungsschreibens der Deutschen Post über den Eingang einer zollpflichtigen Sendung, beim Zoll abholen.

Ich dacht Elite, steht bei Dir so.
Bluetooth-Kopplung geht normalerweise über die Logitech-App.

Hab ich verwechselt natürlich Elite.
Lange nichts mehr dran gefummelt.

Per PC oder per App ging beides nicht.

Lightpack kennt die Harmonie Software nicht.
Einrichten will er dann immer per ir machen!

Ich hatte mal die Elite mit Hub, ist fast so wie die Ultimate mit Hub, die ich habe, daher sollte es nicht ganz so große Unterschiede geben.
Bluetooth: Ich mach es schon mal per Ipad-Pro mit der Harmony-App. Ob dieses koppeln in der Harmony-App mit dem Lightpack-Bluetooth geht, evtl. mal direkt bei Lightpack nachfragen.
IR: Gibts bei Harmony noch kein Lightpack 2 Gerät, sonst müsste man die IR-Befehle anlernen.

-> Leider stochere ich etwas herum, da ich das Lightpack erst nächste Woche kriege ... .

Edit: Sonst wie ist Dein Eindruck, funktioniert es, Farben OK, HDR10?
DV: Ist es bei DV konfigurierbar, ob das HDMI-Signal nur durchgeschleift wird wobei dann die LEDs aus bleiben oder ob DV auf HDR10 per HDMI-Shake reduziert wird, wobei dann die LEDs leuchten aber wie gesagt ohne ein DV zum TV?

wie kommst Du auf diese Kosten, mir bietet die Post allein die Vorverzollungs-Servicepauschale 28,50€ an.
Ich hatte bei PP am 20.07.2017 für das "Lightpack TV UHD Room Set" bezahlt: 349,45 EUR = 389,00 USD
Auf dem Versandetikett steht Total 40.00 USD drauf, wobei natürlich das Room-Set nicht komplett ist wegen der fehlenden Pixels.
Wenn ich es beim Zoll selbst abhole muss ich ja die Rechnung und eine Beschreibung mitbringen, soweit ich das in Erinnerung habe werden 19% fällig.
Ich habe im Grunde wenig Lust bei einer Rechnung mit zwei Teillieferungen zweimal den Zoll komplett zu bezahlen.
Wie hast Du das abgewickelt?

Hab es nach dem Urlaub mal kurz mit Madame getestet aber für ihre Migräne ist das nix.
Man kann in der blöden App auch keine feste Farbe einstellen und beim Starten geht's immer im Movie mode los!
Logitech hab ich mal angeschrieben, man prüft ob man es in die Geräte Bibliothek aufnimmt!

Glaube werde es verkaufen.

Und solange drauf gefreut und gewartet!

Ich kam noch nicht dazu, zumal das Ambivision Pro jetzt auch nicht so schlecht, dabei viel flexibler bei der Geräte-/Anschlusslandschaft ist.
Ich hatte früher schon mal zwei Systeme parallel laufen, werde es daher noch ausprobieren, aber wann weiß ich noch nicht ... .

Nicht das irgendwo in den Einstellungen ein Start-Mode fest hinterlegt ist?
Gibt es kein "eyestrain reduction" um die Augen zu entspannen? Das etwas komplett ausgeht und plötzlich volle Helligkeit liefert, damit komme ich auch nicht zurecht, so etwas muss man in einem derartigen System einstellen können!

Da ich das Ambivision Pro am Laufen habe, daher wäre es bei mir kein Problem. Wollte zunächst Parallelbetrieb mit dem Ambivision versuchen, bin aber seit geraumen davon abgegeangen.
Bestellt hatte ich "Lightpack TV UHD Room Set" für $389.00, per Paypal €349,45 EUR, zusätzlich Zoll, wobei die Pixels noch nicht geliefert sind, welche aber noch nachgeliefert werden sollen.
Habs auch noch nicht so recht ausgepackt, kurz reingeschaut. Weiß nicht was @rendra für ein Set hat, welches Dir evtl. eher entsprechen würde, sonst gerne per PM.

Musste nun doch einen Rückzieher machen, hauptsächlich, weil das Set aufgrund der fehlenden Pixels noch nicht komplett geliefert ist.
Zum anderen werde ich es doch noch in der nächsten Zeit ausprobieren.

Kann man die Farben beim Lightpack eigentlich schon kalibrieren, um die Wandfarbe auszugleichen?
DreamScreen hatte das seinerzeit recht simpel und gut gelöst.

@rendra hatte schon im Oktober paar Kommentare zur App getätigt, ich vermute es war die Android-App.

Just adding to the debate. My LP2 UHD arrived in UK last week. Installation and setup on my curved 65inch was pretty straight forward. After following the comments here for the last few years. I didn’t expect to get one and when I did, I had next to no expectations for performance. I have to say in my case, customer service always responded to my emails and were very polite and informative and helped me get my unit as soon as it was available. As for the LP2 UHD, I have a few niggles. Most have been mentioned before. But for the most part, it’s OK and it works. 1: my main gripe is the lack of HDR. HDR seems to be passed through the unit ok (it switches my TV to hdr setting but more testing needed), so image appears unaffected, but the colours displayed by the LP2 LED ribbon become wildly inaccurate. Mostly shades of blue with some splashes of colour. Change the input device’s output to non HDR and the LP2 seems to work great. HDR is the big one I’d like to see fixed. I’d rather bypass the LP2 and watch a movie with HDR working than add a light show to a non HDR version of the movie. 2: No way to select LP2 input via automation. So my harmony remote automations and thus google hub commands no longer work to call up the correct AV input. 3: No way to fine tune colour in the app. My wall is not a neutral colour and i cannot tune the LP2 LED’s to compensate in any way. 4: IOS app is woefully lacking functionality, and having to get it via TestFlight at this stage is just ridiculous. It feels very beta. 5: LED Brightness is adjustable but with only 5 steps. For my personal install, I find the default middle position to be best, but ideally I need something between this and the next brightness up. Brightness slide should not be stepped but adjustable to any point. I wouldn’t have thought this tricky to program. Apart from that lot, it works.
