Hello Community i hope its Okay that i wrtite the Topic in English ( U can answer my in German, is just hard for me to write in German

Currently im using a "Gaming" Headset HyperX Cloud Alpha on my Computer with the Mainboard ROG MAXIMUS XI GENE with the SupremeFX S1220A CODEC and im searching for a Upgrade to my Setup.

Im very Interessted in the DT 990 Black Special Edition 250 Ohm Headphones and i have no Idea which DAC/AMP i should get to get the best result.

What im Expecting :

Better Sound Quality for Music/Movies compare to the HyperX Cloud Alpha

Get the same Quality ( Or better ) for FPS Shooter Gaming ( for example to hear the Footsteps good enogh )

i read alot of comments about the FiiO E10K Olympus 2 and the fiio k3 but after reading all the comments on different Sites i just got more confused.

People saying the both Fiio DAC´s are great/best choice for the price range ....working good with the 250 ohm Beyerdynamic ...the bass boost option is very nice.

But other People saying they are not Powerfull enough and the Beyerdynamics sounds to quietly.

my budget for the DAC/AMP is 150€

Would be very grateful for any kind of help

first question is: what's the issue with the current setup?
something special missing or disturbing you?
"better sound quality" is a pretty individual thing...

the onboard sound is sufficient as long as:
- there are no distortions / interferences
- it's loud enough

if i add up the price of the dt990 and the 150 bucks for the DAC/AMP, we are (nearly) in the range of e.g. the DT1990. That one should work at the onboard sound, for sure.
I believe you'll get better value for your money aiming for a better headphone than paying as much for the electronics as for the HP itself.

Hello Mickey Mouse,

The Current Setup is great for Gaming, but for Music with Bass or Action Movies the Sound is no realy "Fun" feels not Powerfull, since i wanna go for a seperate Microphone i wanna change/upgrade my Headphones aswell.

The DT1990 would be in my Price range if i dont need to spent another money for a DAC just not sure if they are worth the Money compare to the 999, since i wanna just a upgrade to my "Gaming Headphones" and not for a Profesional Audiophile use.
